Davisi Boontharm is an architect, urbanist, visual artist, and educator. After graduating architecture in Bangkok, she received her master’s and doctoral degrees in Paris. She taught architecture and urban design at major universities in France, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, and Japan. Her books and essays include In Search of Urban Quality:Tokyo Bangkok SingaporeTokyo Requalified, and Sketch & Script.

 Davisi overlaps her artistic sensibility and research-based investigations of built and lived environments in response to a variety of contexts. Her original “sketch & script” practices explore diverse ways of knowing and the production of knowledge itself.  Those experiments include orihon, accordion like Japanese sketchbooks, and palimpsest, formats that has provide fertile media for development of spatial and experiential narratives for over a decade.

Davisi has exhibited in Japan, Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy, most recently at the Architecture Biennale 2024 in Venice and at House of Architecture ORIS in Zagreb. She lives between Asia and Europe, currently teaching at Politecnico di Milano, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Keio University (Tokyo) and Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok). In 2021, with Darko Radović, she has founded co+re, an independent international platform for strategic thinking, making, and living better cities, based in Bangkok, Tokyo, Milan and Ljubljana.
